2025!
Bringing high-quality theater to communities across the Lower Naugatuck Valley, the VSF2U embodies Valley Shakespeare Festival's dream of theater for all.
Thanks to Shakespeare in American Communities from the National Endowment of the Arts this year, Valley Shakespeare Festival is thrilled to bring back it’s touring program with a brand new production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing.
This streamlined, 80 minute production is specially designed for students and will tour Connecticut middle and high schools, providing students with a unique theatrical experience from April 11 - May 24. Employing minimal design and live musical elements, a company of professional actors will transform familiar school spaces for sparing dreamers and lovers.

Each year, one of Valley Shakespeare Festival’s professionally acclaimed productions travels to schools, homeless shelters and community centers throughout the Lower Naugatuck Valley. These shows are family-friendly and require limited setup, making them ready to perform in nearly any space.
Performances in the past have been noted for their fresh takes on classics (Macbeth, As You Like It, Pericles, and The Two Gentlemen of Verona) that are performed intimately and invite the audience to participate.
Most performances are also followed with a Q&A with actors, so that the audience can get to know the actors (who come in from NYC, LA and locally) and more about the performance.
